God has made it clear, he wants me to stay here at St. Matthew.
This has been a really neat process, mostly because i didn't know how God would make it clear, but i was trusting that he would. Last week he made it very clear and confirmed his message to me by the words of several other people.
I announced it in worship this weekend, but one of the reasons that God left me here is important. I feel strongly that i've been left here at St. Matthew to continue to help this place become a church that cares deeply about those who are not yet gathered here. I know that God wants us to make others our priority.
It feels good to know that I am where God wants me to be and to understand why he has me here. Still, please keep Christ Lutheran, Overland Park in your prayers. They are a wonderful congregation of people who is now wrestling with their next step. May God lead them!

PRAISE GOD! Let me tell you, as a member of ST. Matthew I am thrilled that God has led you to stay here. You are an amazing man of God and we really need your wisdom, your creativity, and your fire!
This is a sad day. God's basically saying that St. Matthew is more messed up than Christ Lutheran.
Though, it's a happy day since your staying around.
thanks anonymous-very kind of you.
Matt... i'm not sure i'd put it that way...or if that's supposed to be a compliment :) We have a lot to work to do as a church and i feel God wanted me to stay to be a part of it. Christ Lutheran is a wonderful church, but i felt like God wasn't ready to release me from the work ongoing here, since this is where i am already serving.
Now it's time to continue moving forward in ministry! I'm sure that you and Jocelyn are thrilled to have made a decision. Keep asking God to bless your collective ministry! :-)
Thank you, Lord! My family and I are rejoicing that God led you to stay at St. Matthew. You are on FIRE for Him and we certainly need you here. It was an amazing moment when you made the announcement in church. I saw several tears of joy, heard thunderous applause, and cheers! We will continue to pray for Christ Lutheran that God will lead their Pastor to them. Praise God for our fortunate! May we never loose sight of His work being done through you. You are amazing!
May god continue to bless you and your family here at St. Matthew. It is a privilege to see God working through you.
